A company named SelfEco in Stillwater, Minnesota near the Twin Cities is going where no dinnerware manufacturer has gone before: 100% biodegradable dinnerware including glasses, cups, plates, and utensils. Aimed at caterers and useful for takeout restaurants, food trucks, and events like weddings, family reunions, picnics and birthday parties, the temporary dinnerware is made out of polylactic acid, a biopolymer made from starchy plants.
