It’s official, of all the dairy alternatives, Ben & Jerry’s vegan varieties will use almond milk as the base of their vegan ice cream varieties. This makes sense to me for the chocolate and nut varieties, but almond milk may not be the greatest for fruity flavors. Exactly what flavors will be offered have not been announced.
I use soy milk and coconut milk for yoghurt-making and cooking because the taste is not as nutty as almond milk. In fact I find the commercial yoghurts with almond milk to be kind of bitter.
